He was predeceased by: his father Lewis Valentine Reece; his wife Peggy Reep Reece; and his siblings, Pauline Reep and Larry Reece. He is survived by: his daughter Selina Keever (David) of Lincolnton; his grandson Brett Keever (Rebekah) of Maiden; his great grandchildren, Sullivan and Ivey Keever; and his sisters, Sue Brown of Morganton, Mary Smith of Illinois and Kathy Shepard of Macon, GA..
