It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mickey Hal Champion (Lincolnton, North Carolina), born in Cleveland, North Carolina, who passed away on December 15, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Raleigh H. Champion and Gomelia Jackson Champion; and his wife Madge Parker Champion. He is survived by: his children, Terry Champion (Dianna) of Cherryville, Vickie McIntyre of Shelby, Sheila Champion (Cecil) of Shelby and Michelle Hartman (Andre) of Lincolnton; and his brothers, Ken Champion and Buddy Champion (Kathryn). He is also survived by eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
