He was predeceased by: his father Dr. Charles Henry Pate, Jr. (Mary Elizabeth Averyt). He is survived by: his wife Fumei C. Pate of Iron Station, NC; his siblings, John W. Pate (Nancy M. Pate) of Charlotte, Paul A. Pate (Karan Gross) and Mary Katharine Pate of Huntsville, Alabama.; and his uncle Alexander H. Averyt (Sharon W. Averyt) of Vestavia Hills. He is also survived by several cousins, nephews and nieces.
