He was predeceased by: his parents, John Henry Bridges and Ida Prue Ledford Bridges; and his brother Alfred Bridges. He is survived by: his wife Gayle Brotherton Bridges; his son Chad Bridges of Lincolnton; his brothers, Bill Bridges (Joan), Jerry Bridges (Joyce) of Lincolnton and Ronnie Bridges of Denver; his granddaughter Dallas Johnson (Dwayne) of Lincolnton; his great grandchild Waylon Johnson; and his sister-in-law Judy Brotherton of Lincolnton. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
