She was predeceased by: her parents, Claude Monroe and Nannie Coon Houser; her husband Robert Earl Abernethy, Jr.; her son-in-law Ken Hoyle; and her siblings, Frank Houser, James Houser and Pauline Schronce.
She is survived by: her children, Renee Hoyle of Vale, Robert "Bob" E. Abernethy, III of Vale and Randy Abernethy (Brenda) of Vale; her grandchildren, Dawn Wilson (Shane), Crystal Dean (Eddie) and Johnny Lail (Tonya); her great grandchildren, Kelsey Pump (Taylor), Marissa Wilson, Logan Dean, Lyric Auston (Dylan), Brandon Lail and Abby Lail; and her great great grandchildren, Andrew Pump, Addilynn Pump and Immerson Auston. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
