She was predeceased by: her parents, Gilford Tate and Eliza Tate; her husband Henry Lane; her sisters, Betty Jo Wilson and Alice Smith; her children, Dorothy Boyd, Jeannie Lane, Brenda Guffey, Isaac Lane and Joe Guffey; and her grandson Johnboy.

She is survived by: her children, Danny Lane (Anita Lane), Harold Guffey of Rutherford County, Loretta Marlow (Florence Kennedy), Linda Edwards of Rutherford County, Lucy Carpenter and Tasha Lane (Bertie Bradshaw); and her brother Norris Tate of Rutherford County.
