She is survived by: her husband Carroll Gene Heavner; her children, Gene Heavner, Jeff Heavner (Crystal) and Nancy Price (Geno); her adoptive daughter Karen Hyder Simmons; and her grandchildren, Caroline Powell, Hayden Heavner (Elyse), Brandon Heavner and Hunter Reaves (Taylor). She is also survived by two great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to First United Methodist Church, 201 E. Main Street, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
