She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde Blalock and Annie Belle Washburn Blalock; her former husband John Paul Parker; her son Theodore Parker; and her siblings, Roy Blalock, Ella Mae Weaver, Lauris Wray, Alma Bailey, Amaryllis Lyons, Faye Ormond and Ruby McCoy.
She is survived by: her husband Gene Whitesides; her son Robert Parker (Teresa); her grandchildren, Bobby Parker (Viola) of Lincolnton, Joey Parker (Sonia) of Las Vegas, NV, Melia Videtto (Hal) of Lake Worth, FL, Candace Gifford of Sanford, NC and Kassidy Blanton (Charlie) of Shelby; her great grandchildren, Addison, Marlee Videtto, Courtney Folsom, Brandon Folsom, Matthew Parker, Colton Blanton and Carter Blanton; and her great great grandchildren, Bennett Brown and Silas Folsom. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
