She is survived by: her husband Wilbur Tate; her daughters, Peggy Tate and Laura Whittemore; her sister Mary McMurry of Lincolnton; her granddaughters, Lakina Jones, Amanda Tate, Brandy Whittemore and Katie Whittemore; and her great grandchildren, Abby, Autumn, Summer and Mason.
