He was predeceased by: his parents, Osburn A. Keener (O. A.) and Julia Helderman Keener; and his wife Rachel Whiteside Keener. He is survived by: his children, Mark Keener of Huntersville and Debbie Kirby (Jessie) of Denver; his grandchildren, David Jessie Kirby (Tisha) of Morehead City, Drew Keener of Durham and Abbey Keener (Roman Safiullin) of Beacon, NY; and his great grandchildren, Rachel Kirby, Noah Kirby and Claire Keener.
