He was predeceased by: his parents, Tom J. Owens and Lucy Owens; his wife Penelope Hawthorne Owens; and his son Dale Owens. He is survived by: his children, Roger Owens (Tina) of Belwood, Lewie Owens, Jr. (Cathy) of Vale and Loretta Owens Howard of Vale; his sisters, Gaye Edwards of Clintwood, VA and Reba Jones of Palatka, FL; and his stepbrother Farrell Owens Honaker of Virginia. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
