He was predeceased by: his father Guy Vance; his wife Brenda Dianne Stamey; and his siblings, Bill Stamey, Sr., Jake Stamey, Tom Stamey, Jack Stamey and Elizabeth Jarrett.
He is survived by: his stepsons, Tim and Eric Shires. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
