He is survived by: his wife Kathy Houser Somers; his son John Somers of Denver; his brothers, Michael Somers of Brevard and David Somers (Robin) of Denver; and his grandchildren, Joncole Somers of Lincolnton and Cooper Somers of Lincolnton. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
