She was predeceased by: her parents, William Pleasant and Gladys Bryant Pleasant; her son Wayne Carpenter; and her brother Calvin Mills. She is survived by: her children, Larry Dean Carpenter (Kimberly) of Linclnton, Lisa Knight (Charlie) of Lincolnton, Tina Brooks (Bobby Ledford) of Vale and Kimberly Sigmon (Steven) of Cherryville; and her siblings, Raymond Pleasant (Carolyn) of Dallas and Pat Jackson (Larry) of Lincolnton. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; and twenty-one great-grandchildren.
