She was predeceased by: her parents, Dean Howell and Margaret Curtis Howell. She is survived by: her husband William Dale Kiefer, Jr.; her son Jason Michael Kiefer of Lincolnton; her stepchildren, Scott Michael Kiefer (Katherine) of Charlotte and Kristen Novak (Joseph) of Colorado; her grandson Jayden Kiefer; her stepgrandsons, Blake Kiefer and Collin Kiefer; and her siblings, James Howell (Becky) of Lincolnton and Linda Beatty (Gary) of Indiana.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Lincoln County, 900 Dontia Drive, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
