He was predeceased by: his parents, Mason Beal and Sadie Perkins Beal; his wife Sheila Cherry Beal; his granddaughter Amber Brook Millsaps; and his siblings, Johnnie Beal Gilbert, Bessie Beal Leigh, Willie Beal Howard, Jean Beal Hartman, Duke Beal, R. B. Beal, Donald Beal, Darrell Beal and J. D. Beal.
He is survived by: his daughter Larisa Beal McSwain (Marcus Williams) of Lincolnton; his grandson Larson McSwain of Lincolnton; and his sister-in-law Louise Beal of Lincolnton.
