He was predeceased by: his father Harold Edward Arnett; and his sisters, Lela Poitress and Patricia Higgins. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Mays Arnett; his children, John Arnett, Jr. (Aurica) of Mooresville, Jeremy Arnett (Angel) of Ellenboro and Lisa Laws of Denver; and his siblings, Dwainn Arnett, Harold Arnett and Edwina Mullins. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
