He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Thomas and Emma Elizabeth Rhyne Carpenter; his wife Patricia Powell Carpenter; and his son Johnny Allen Carpenter. He is survived by: his daughters, Pamela Carpenter Mixon of Lincolnton, NC and Tammy Carpenter Blanco (Luis) of Pikeville, NC; his grandchildren, Kristy Meadows (William) of Lincolnton, NC, Christopher Moody of Lincolnton, NC, Joshua Carpenter of Lincolnton, NC, Jonathan Carpenter of Lincolnton, NC, Matthew Carpenter (Ashley) of Lincolnton, NC and Kelly Carpenter of Lincolnton, NC; his great grandchildren, Katelyn Hopper, Kassidy Bravo, Kylie Bravo, Maisley Meadows, Ayda Carpenter, Maxxon Carpenter, Rhilynn Carpenter, Madilyn Ballard and Makayla Ballard; and his great great grandchildren, Aaralyn Jones, Emberleigh Bravo, Prince Sadler and Rosaleigh Hovis.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 5th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Warlick Funeral Home (125 Dave Warlick Dr, Lincolnton, NC 28092). A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Victory Grove Baptist Church (457 Victory Grove Church Rd, Lincolnton, NC 28092).
