He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Francis Mervine and Dorothy Loper Mervine; and his brother Robert Mervine, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Gilda Woodie Mervine; and his sister Edith Escuder (Jim) of Hickory. He is also survived by nieces and nephews; and countless spiritual children.
