She was predeceased by: her parents, David Eugene Gilleland and Willie Lee Clark Gilleland. She is survived by: her sons, Rodney Gilleland (Shauna) of Lincolnton, David Spencer (Deborah) of Lincolnton and James Merrian of Crouse. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren; and twenty-five great-grandchildren.
