He was predeceased by: his parents, James Norman and Lelar Virginia Ware Owens; his son Michael Owens; and his siblings, Carl Owens and Christine Owens.
He is survived by: his wife Helen Campbell Owens; his children, Danette Pearson (Tim) of Lincolnton, Todd Owens of Maiden and Scott Owens (Donna) of Bessemer City; his sister Ann Mitchem of Bessemer City; his grandchildren, Derek Owens, Wendy Aderholdt (Daniel), Barbara Hardgrove, Samantha Owens, Dustin Owens, Tyler Owens, Seth Smith and Megan Hallman (Daniel); and his great grandchildren, Nate Hardgrove, Raleigh, James Alderholdt, Jordan Owens, Kaia Owens, Eli Hallman and Lincoln Hallman.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the St. Matthews Reformed Church Cemetery (4575 Maiden Hwy, Maiden, NC 28650).
