She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Yeatts and Annie Mae Trammell Yeatts; her husband William Ralph Nichols; her sons, Larry Wayne and James David Nichols; her siblings, Wesley, Leslie, Leonard Yeatts, Elma Mae Yeatts, Ellen Doyle and Catherine Chambers; and her daughter-in-law Joanna Nichols.
She is survived by: her sons, William Glenn Nichols of Belmont and Robert Kevin Nichols (Karen) of Lincolnton; and her siblings, George Yeatts of Asheboro, Carolyn Allen of Greensboro and Betty Wenger of Richmond, VA. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren; and twenty-one great-grandchildren.
