Though Ida may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Ida touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Wesley Perry Monteith and Evelyn Krimminger Monteith Boatwright; and her siblings, Randy Monteith of Calabash, NC and Donna Teeter of Myrtle Beach, SC.. She is survived by: her daughter Rena Watkins of Lincolnton, NC; and her brother Mike Monteith of Bryson City, NC.
A celebration of life was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Boger City United Methodist Church (2320 E Main St, Lincolnton, NC 28092).
