He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Black and Estelle Kiser Black; his sister Beth Ramsey; and his half-brother Dondi Black. He is survived by: his wife Bernice Payseur Black; his son Terry Black (Angela) of Lincolnton; his granddaughter Brittany Landrum (Lankin) of Texas; his great grandchildren, Liam and Landon Landrum; his half-sister Ginger Gaither of Bryson City; his siblings-in-law, David and Delphia Shook; and his close friend David Dellinger.
