He is survived by: his wife Peggy Lou McGuire Sayres; his sons, Gilbert Hunt Sayres, Jr. (Melissa) of Ontario, CA and Todd Sayres (Gail) of Gainesville, GA; his sister Jan Porter Eichner of Crossville, TN; and his granddaughter Katie Sayres.
