He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Holden and Ruth Nichols Holden; and his siblings, Wayne Richard Holden, Betty Elizabeth Josephine Loveless and Sandra Ruth Loemeyer.

He is survived by: his wife Deborah Pansy Hoyt Holden; his daughter Heather Ruth Holden (Ted Thumann) of Newfield, NY; his grandsons, Christian David Holden and Levi Frederick Holden; his siblings, Jean Francis Morris, Dorothy Voda and Ross Eber Holden; and his siblings-in-law, John Levi Hoyt, II, Joseph Scott Hoyt, Sr. (Pamela), Bonnie Binger (Michael Flanagan), Cheryl Edith Stambaugh, Suanne Hicks, Kathi Jean Derhammer (Richard Eber), Andrea Bettilou Delicati and Pamela Dee Weidman. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
