She was predeceased by: her parents, Daniel Guy Dean, Sr. and Annie Marie Hamilton Dean; her husband Rev. Mack Monroe Armstrong; and her siblings, Daniel Guy Dean, Jr. and Martha Ann Dean.
She is survived by: her sister Mary Louise Dean of Brevard; her children, Dr. Floyd Daniel Armstrong (Kim) of Miami, FL, Mark Wesley Armstrong (Kelly) and Carolyn McCraw Durham (Rick) of Raleigh, NC; her grandsons, Matthew Daniel Armstrong (Vicki), Timothy Michael Armstrong (Ana), Austin Neil McCraw (Natasha), Mason Wesley Armstrong, Carson Scott McCraw (Britney), Joshua Brantley Armstrong and Alexander Mark Armstrong; her great grandchildren, Leighton Adaline McCraw, Rayden Sol Armstrong and Jameson Ian McCraw; and her caregiver Kerrie Thomas.
In lieu of flowers, and in honor of Frances' commitment to young children with special needs, the family requests donations be made to the Mailman Center for Child Development at the University of Miami, 1601 NW 12th Avenue, Miami, FL 33136.
