It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Donald Edward Waters (Lincolnton, North Carolina), who passed away on December 24, 2021, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Linsey and Addie Bell Lane Waters; his former wife Frances Carol Waters; and his daughter Melinda W. Cook. He is survived by: his wife Linda Silvers Waters; his daughter Robin Rene Lopez of Richburg, SC; his stepchildren, Darren Silvers of Rutherfordton and Cynthia Rexrode of Shelby; his grandchildren, Ashley Cook Safrit, Amanda Rene Francis and Richard Kyle Lopez; and his great grandchildren, Peyton Safrit and Bailey Safrit.

“Don has been in the family as long as I can remember. I always enjoyed the Christmas get togethers with our families & the summer picnics at his & my sister Frances country home. It was a special time with our entire families. We enjoyed the vegetables from his big garden & his honey from his beehives. It was an enjoyable time for us all.
