He is survived by: his son Billy Mitchell of Lincolnton; his daughter-in-law Jennifer Mitchell of Lincolnton; his grandchildren, Logan Mitchell (Dalora) of Everett, Connor Mitchell and Riley Grace Mitchell of Lincolnton; his siblings, David Mitchell of Gastonia, Jan Mitchell of Greenwood, SC and Sheila Parker of Shelby; and his friend Gay Moore. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
