He was predeceased by: his father Johnny Robert Baker, Sr.; and his son Michael Warren Costner. He is survived by: his mother Maria Waddell Baker; his wife Gayla Fortenberry Baker; his daughters, Melissa Hope Costner and Tonya Renee Hester (Chad); his siblings, Johnny Baker, Jr. and Krissa Baker; and his grandchildren, Hayleigh, Devan, Ethan, Darryn and Amber.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Lincoln County, 900 Dontia Drive, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
