It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Boyd Sigmon of Lincolnton, North Carolina, born in Catawba, North Carolina, who passed away on October 11, 2020, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Sigmon and Lida Rhyne Sigmon; his former wife Barbara Edwards Sigmon; and his siblings, Rob, Caroll, Charlie Sigmon, Leila, Myrtle and Ruth.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Brinkle Sigmon; his children, Paige Sigmon of Leland and Shannon Walker (Ashlee); his grandchild Finn of Leland; his son David; his grandchildren, Lori Carpenter (Larry) of Wilmington, David "Bud" Sigmon of Maiden, Chuck Sigmon of Bakersville and Kathy Devine (Terry) of Lincolnton; his child Kim Ingle (Joel) of Rutherfordton; and his sisters, Shirley Black (Robert) of Hickory and Ruby Lutz of Maiden. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.
