It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Darrell Edward Hoffman of Lincolnton, North Carolina, who passed away on October 28, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Hoffman and Lena Beal Hoffman; his wife Nancy Grant Hoffman; his son Perry Hoffman; and his siblings, Melvin Hoffman, Myrtle Bumgardner and Sue Duncan.

He is survived by: his daughter Emily Rhyne (Allen) of Lincolnton; and his siblings, David Hoffman of Lincolnton, Elisie Keever of Lincolnton, Delores Rhodes of Lincolnton and Billie Chapman of Lincolnton.
