She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilburn Cletus Canipe and Julia Lucille Christopher Canipe; and her siblings, Samuel Canipe, Lester Canipe, Harold Canipe, Iva Lee Goins and Mildred Scronce.
She is survived by: her siblings, Jerry Franklin Canipe (Annette) of Lincolnton and Wilma Canipe Sain (Bobby "Buddy") of Cat Square. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
