She was predeceased by: her father William Dorus Hartsoe; and her stepfather Bob Carpenter. She is survived by: her mother Vivian Sain Hartsoe Carpenter; her husband Ronald L. Martin; her son Michael Martin of Vale; her siblings, Scott Carpenter (Lisa) of Cherryville, Tammy Hartsoe Smith (Henry) of Hickory and Becky Hartsoe Smith (Chad) of Vale; and her nieces and nephews, Mandy Cloninger, Julie Cloninger, Dylan Smith, Camille Jenkins, Callie Smith, Nathan Carpenter, Paige Rogers and Christie Warlick. She is also survived by numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.
