He was predeceased by: his parents, William Homer and Thelma Evelyn Short Johnson; and his wife Shelby Lackey Johnson. He is survived by: his children, Jennifer Ibison (Richard) of Lincolnton, NC and Anthony Johnson (Starr) of Lincolnton, NC; his siblings, Mike Johnson (Carol) of Lincolnton, NC, Wayne Johnson of Lincolnton, NC, Sadie Cody of Lincolnton, NC and Amy Johnson of Belmont, NC; his grandchildren, Alex Johnson, Sebastian Ibison, Journie Ibison, Brooke Johnson and Taylor Johnson; and his great grandchildren, Ezekiel and Charlie Johnson.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 9th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel (125 Dave Warlick Dr, Lincolnton, NC 28092). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
