It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Preston Long of Lincolnton, North Carolina, born in Gaston, North Carolina, who passed away on February 5, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father Todd Long; and his brother James Clifford Long. He is survived by: his wife Virginia Reames Long; his daughter Susan Long Shenk (Brian) of Charlotte; his brother Neal Todd Long of Claremont, NC; and his grandchildren, Rebecca Grace Shenk and Kelly Anne Shenk.
