It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carol Taylor of Lincolnton, North Carolina, who passed away on July 19, 2021, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Nelson G. Toney and Zettie Rebecca Propst Toney; her husband William Johnson; her children, Kim Curtis Johnson, Mark Allen Johnson and Sheila Rebecca Rose Johnson; and her siblings, Helen Marlow, Hazel Miller, Paul Toney, Roy Lee Toney and Madge Jewel Toney.

She is survived by: her children, Johnny William Johnson (Trudy) and Cindy Tate Edwards (Thomas); her grandchildren, Leslie Tate, Carla Steele, Brandee Powers, Jeremy Johnson, John Michael Johnson, Chris Johnson, Lauren Coffin and Bobby Earley; her great grandchildren, Caroline, Brock, Lucas, Noah, Aiden, Braelyn, Caelyn, Blake and Cole; and her siblings, Roger Toney (Jewel), Donald Toney and Faithel DuBois (Tom). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
