She was predeceased by: her parents, John Franklin Keever and Bessie Johnson Keever; her son Michael Gill Sain; her former husband Joe Ray Sain; and her siblings, Bill Keever, Carroll Keever, David Keever, Alma Robinson and Natha Lee Meeks.

She is survived by: her daughter Terry Sain Sanford (Christopher A. Sanford); her grandchildren, Jon Lee Sanford (Angie) and Chris Sanford, Jr. of Lincolnton; and her siblings, Larry Keever (Ann) of Lincolnton, Jerry Keever of Lincolnton and Pat Houser (Jim) of Lincolnton.
