She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond J. Cook and Blanche White Cook Wylie; her husband Olin Mathis, Jr.; her sons, Gary Mathis and Randy Scott Mathis; her granddaughter Kelly Mathis; and her siblings, Steven, Alvin, Jim, Bobby Cook, Patricia C. Parker and Jeri Blume.
She is survived by: her sons, Danny Mathis (Janet) of Vale and Rocky Mathis (Holly) of Lincolnton; and her siblings, Raymond Cook, Jr. of Lincolnton and Mary Beard of Crouse. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
