She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde Whitener and Effie Whitener; her husband Donald Rogers, Sr.; and her siblings, Martha Gilbert, Joe Whitener and Allen Whitener.
She is survived by: her children, Donald Rogers (Evelyn) of Lincolnton, Rebecca Rogers of Cornelius and Amy Rogers Elkins of Lincolnton; her grandchildren, Gabriel Rogers and Landry Elkins; and her brothers, C. W. Whitener and Harold Whitener.
