He is survived by: his wife Shirley Short Pruitt; his daughters, Pamela Travis (Chris) of Lincolnton, Dana Bryson (Jack) of Iron Station and Regina Pruitt of Lincolnton; and his siblings, Ralph Pruitt of Hickory and Edith Willis of Lincolnton. He is also survived by six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
