She was predeceased by: her parents, Hurley Seate and Vonnie Seate; her sister Mary Francis Willis; and her husband Bennett Blankenship. She is survived by: her son Gary Blankenship (Debra) of Vale, NC. She is also survived by three grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lincoln Christian Academy, PO Box 654, Lincolnton, NC 28093.
