She was predeceased by: her parents, Daniel Wingate and Hattie Hunter Wingate; and her spouse Thomas Bynum, Sr.. She is survived by: her children, Milton Bynum of Lincolnton, Michael Bynum (Joanie) of Lincolnton and Ida Hunter of Lincolnton; her sister Cora Mae Derr of Iron Station; her sister-in-law Elizabeth Wingate of Gastonia; her daughters-in-law, Mae Sue Bynum and Margaret Bynum; and her close friend Evelyn Boston. She is also survived by thirty grandchildren, fifty eight great grandchildren, twenty nine great great grandchildren.
