With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Alvin Thomas Smith Jr. of Lincolnton, North Carolina, who passed away on November 17, 2023 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Thomas Smith Sr. and Annie Mae B. Smith; his wife Wilma Goodson Smith; and his siblings, Harold Smith, Ruth Auton, Prue Wright and Edna Cash.
He is survived by: his daughters, Lori S. Dossey (Keith) and Cindy S. Lancaster (Chris); his grandchildren, Mason Lancaster, Mattie Lancaster and Jacob Dossey; his sisters, Sue Lail and Nancy Hoyle; and his sisters-in-law, Barbara Smith, Evelyn Fletcher and Jan Goodson.
