He is survived by: his wife Rita Faye Chatman Franklin; his daughter Joy Leach (Lauren); his grandchildren, Russell Gore, Mark Gore and Lauren Elizabeth Leach; and his brothers, Benjamin Franklin and Lloyd Franklin. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
