John Rudasill wrote a sympathy message

“Buck and I worked together for years due to our involvement in the computer business, he with Heafner Tire and me with Carolina Freight. In recent times I've helped him with his "PC", to which he always said and I quote, "You know I hate these blooming things." Buck was a fine Christian gentlemen and a good friend. Just within the last few weeks we talked about having lunch the next time he was in Cherryville. He will be truly missed. I am so sorry for you loss. May God bless and comfort you.”

Billy and Elaine Swayney”

Joni Deditch wrote a sympathy message

“Dear Watson family, Buck will be terribly missed by all who knew him. He had a huge heart, hearty laugh and an infectious smile. He was my "big" cousin who was always ready to help in any way he could. He and Janice raised two wonderful children and he dearly loved all his family. My love and prayers go to all of you, by God's grace we will be comforted. Joni”
