He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Marvin Watson, Sr. and Christine Thaggard Watson; and his brother Joseph Grady Watson. He is survived by: his wife Janice Ann Lee Watson; his children, Albert Marvin Watson, III of Mt. Holly and Angela Watson Garner (Marc) of Lincolnton; his grandchildren, Logan Watson and Zach Garner; his siblings, Kenneth Watson (Cindy) of Clemmons, NC, Sandra Watson McPherson of Gastonia and Stephanie Watson Kelly (Randy) of Franklin, TN; and his cousin Joni Deditch of Floyd, VA. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other cousins.

“Buck and I worked together for years due to our involvement in the computer business, he with Heafner Tire and me with Carolina Freight. In recent times I've helped him with his "PC", to which he always said and I quote, "You know I hate these blooming things." Buck was a fine Christian gentlemen and a good friend. Just within the last few weeks we talked about having lunch the next time he was in Cherryville. He will be truly missed. I am so sorry for you loss. May God bless and comfort you.”
