He is survived by: his granddaughter Lakela Bell-McLean (Kenneth); his children, Adrienae (Gary), Ursela, Jean, Gwendolyn, Courtney, Chris and Winslow; his grandchildren, Rhiana Carter, Courtney Jr. McLean (Sade), Cory McLean, Pamela Walker Williams, Dr. Helen Walker and Jazmine Highsmith (Erik); his great grandchildren, Adriana, Camden, Ayani, Kennedy and Jet Marie; his siblings, Norma Horne, Robert (Celestine) and Norris Pittman (Pam); his in-laws, Flora, Edwinta (James), Rita, Joe Montel (Cynthia) and John; and his godchildren, Dorcia Hicks, Gregory Watkins and Robert "Buck" Hodges. He is also survived by other relatives, friends.
Viewing was held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at 25 Beaver Rd, Erwin, NC 28339. A celebration of life was held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 at the Wesley Chapel AME Zion Church Cemetery (74 Irene Roberts Rd, Lillington, NC 27546).
