Though Robert may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Robert touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Brown Vanaman and Martha Spitzner Vanaman. He is survived by: his wife Olga; his daughter Michelle Collins (Chip) of Hope Mills; his grandchildren, Cameron and Caitlyn; and his sister Ann Vanaman Taylor (Lacy) of Lillington. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service was held on Thursday, October 10th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Cumberland Memorial Gardens (4509 Raeford Rd, Fayetteville, NC 28304).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to either St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or a charity of one's choice.
