He was predeceased by: his parents, Royce Wayne Boyd and Carolyn McIntyre Boyd Godfrey of Virginia; his son Jason Scott Boyd; and his stepfather Louis Godfrey. He is survived by: his wife Cindy Scott Boyd; his daughters, Jessica Boyd Taylor (Jonathan) of Lillington, NC and Annie Crawford of Sanford, NC.; his siblings, Kay Boyd Hobson of Sanford, NC and Dennis Boyd of Sanford, NC; his parents-in-law, Janice and David Lee Scott of Sanford, NC.; and his sisters-in-law, Beth Singer (Rusty) and Mary Lee Byrd (Thesley) of Sanford, NC.
