She was predeceased by: her parents, George Edward and Mildred Gilbert Holder; her husband Harold Linwood Smith; her sons, Harold Linwood Smith, Jr. and Donald Edward Smith; her granddaughter Amber Nicole Smith; and her sister Rena Inez "Jackie" Oliver (Cecil Dwight Oliver).
She is survived by: her daughter Donna Lynn Smith; her grandchildren, Haleigh Renee Byrd, Madison Lynn Byrd, Shaun Austin Jackson and Ember Ann Marie Houle; and her pet Penny. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In accordance with current North Carolina COVID-19 guidelines, the funeral home requests that everyone in attendance practice social distancing and wear a face covering.
